In stylist Carlos Mota’s Dominican Republic beach home, a Picasso-inspired mural decorates a wall near the workplace, the place an Indian chair is pulled up to a desk designed by Mota. The built-in shelving and drawers permit for ample group—Marie Kondo would approve. In designers Andrew Fisher and Jeffry Weisman’s residence in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Fisher designed the workplace’s desk and embellished the Queen Anne chair with shells and black paint. Journalist Dena Kaye and her associate, designer Dick Fallin, modernized their home on St. Barts in the French West Indies while retaining its fundamental footprint. They turned the terrace off the lounge into the office and made sure the decor was spare. The chandelier, partly composed of paper notes, is a signature design by Ingo Maurer.
